I assume we need to look for a different venue if this is true.

Tournament officials did not release an attendance for the opening round, but Thursday’s two games both drew sparse crowds to the 7,500-seat stadium.
Early in the Creighton-Xavier game, a reporter counted 53 fans in the stands. That was before the Seton Hall and St. John’s teams showed up, which more than doubled the turnout.

Big Ten is hosting their 2015 baseball tournament at Target Field next year so TD will be available. The Big East would be stupid not to host it at TD Ameritrade next year. They should also expand the format to include 6 teams.

Creighton beats Seton Hall 2-1 and advances to tomorrow's championship game on FS1.

Ideally we could hold the tournament at TD Ameritrade every year. Even if it gives Creighton an advantage, I'd rather have the tournament generate revenue than be a drag that nobody watches.
This is my opinion. There are many like it, but this one is mine.

X had a rough time getting there after flight delayed due to weather, then the bus had a flat tire on a bridge and they had to hang out in NY traffic until it was fixed. They got to their hotel and it was flooded shortly thereafter, so had to move. Hoping for better tmrw.

Can someone explain why Creighton as the top seed and only undefeated team in the tournament is the away team for the 1 game championship today? That makes no sense at all.

The tourney rules were odd. No double elimination and the 1 seed as the visiting team? Either way, those were the rules agreed on prior to the season so you have to deal with it. I hope next year, they include 6 teams, maybe give the top 2 seeds a bye (give some type of advantage for finishing at the top) and make it double elimination. With TV though, I doubt it.

Many conferences have the same rules in place, mostly for TV, I assume.

With Nebraska in the final Big 10 game, they packed in just short of 20,000 into the TD Ameritrade for the championship game. That was a national record for a conference final. It looks like Omaha will support college baseball. The picture shown earlier in this thread would be a bad crowd at a high school game. If the Big Ten gives us an opening for Omaha, take it.
